Applications
Water Filtration
Activated carbon removes a wide range of organic contaminants from water, including some types of bacteria and algae. VOCs (volatile organic compounds), pesticides, herbicides, and micropollutants are also removed. It converts chlorine to chloride, removing the chemical taste and smell of treated water, as well as tannins and phenols that also affect water’s look and taste.
Reducing Gas and Bloating
Activated carbon is sold in capsule and tablet form to combat the effects of gas-producing foods.
